Hi and welcome to On The Road for
December. If you have read the December Workshop at the Ranch
you will notice that it is quite lengthy and is devoted to the
New NIKON D2H Digital Camera. This month's On The Road is...well...
On The Road LITE. I hope you like it...............

Stock image submission for a figure
skating book with Simon & Schuster. Editorial, English
rights, 20,000 print run. 50 images were submitted, 1 has
been chosen for the cover already and hopefully several
will be used inside. Nikon D1 Digital Camera, Nikon 400mm
lens, ISO800, 1/640sec at f2.8, available light. The 2001
World Figure Skating Championships in Vancouver, British
Columbia, Canada. Remember, on the road sometimes means
In My Office as stock image sales are a big part of my business.

Tucker, the family cat. NIKON D2H, Nikon
70-200mm VR Zoom lens and a Macro Lens Adapter that focuses
within 12 inches. ISO400, Aperture Priority, Auto WB. I just
received the new camera that day and wanted to get a feel
for the D2H...............Tucker was available but demanded
that I negotiate rights and fees with his agent. |

My Trap&Skeet 12gage shot gun (Sigarms
TR40 Silver). Lightpainting, Nikon D2H Camera, 70-200mm
VR lens and Macro Lens Adapter, 1 minute exposure f22, Bogan
Tripod, Lexar 1G Flash Card, and a small penlight for the
details and a Vector Sports Spot with a 10 degree grid for
the rest of the picture.

On The Road after the Sports Shooter Workshop
and Luau in LA. Lightpainting on the San Onofre State Beach
near San Clemente. Thanks to Rick Rickman, the beach area,
surf boards, and Jessica Cramp arrived just in time for the
last glimpse of the sunset. NIKON D2H, 12-24mm lens, 30seconds
exposure at f 4.5 Two Vector Sport Spot lights were used to
Lightpaint the Scene. Special thanks to Sloane Rickman for
letting Jessica use her beautiful pink surf board. And thanks
to Myoung for documenting the evening class on Lightpainting
for Sports Shooter. |
